From 30th July to 27th August 2023, an outstanding competition is held on Deauville-La Touques racecourse.
Bringing together 1,700 horses and 100 jockeys, the Barrière Deauville Meeting is held throughout the month of August! Packed with free children’s entertainment, DJ shows on evening race days and a host of refreshment options, there is something for everyone!

During the month of August, come and witness an incredible series of competitions involving the finest thoroughbreds in Europe.

Spanning over 16 days with Group 1 races, the Deauville Barrière Meeting is more than just a gallop event. It’s a summer extravaganza with entertainment, DJ sets, and evening races…

TUESDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY

    The racecourse opens to experience the most thrilling moments of galloping in a unique setting.

    Lunch in the sun?

    Make the most of our diverse dining options to watch the day’s races up close.

    Preparation of jockeys and horses at the parade ring before the start of the first race.

  • 4:00 PM

    Take a little break in the sun to enjoy a savory or sweet snack with your feet in the grass. And take advantage of all the free entertainment offered at the racecourse to have an unforgettable afternoon.

Jockeys Championship: They are putting their title on the line

Every summer, the Deauville Barrière Meeting brings together the best jockeys, who also enjoy competing in the traditional Jockeys Championship. The principle is simple: in each race, from first to third place, jockeys will accumulate points.

For Group races, the highest level in the Gallop sporting program, the number of points awarded for victories and placements will be multiplied! The final ranking will be determined on Sunday, 27th August.
